Sanctions against Iran were harmful for consumers”
Mohammad Ali khatibi said in an interview with Reuters: “consumer countries need our oil, but sanctions against Iran means that consumers should pay more money to supply their demands. If we develop our oil industry, who will benefit? Certainly consumers do.” Iran’s representative in OPEC welcomed the more presence of oil and gas international companies in Iran and said that these companies would bring technology, capital and competition to Iran. He also confirmed that sanctions against Iran doesn’t prevent from the development of oil and gas sector of Iran but causes more growth of this industry. He said: “need is the mother of invention.”
